Generally, remote working is best for larger projects with a longer timeframe. Starting each project on-site, in person, getting all relevant information ironed out, then leaving the bulk of the work to be done remote.

Arranging the odd day in-office can be beneficial too for quick communication between the CAD technician and project/production management.
